Classification: Sr. Art Director
Compensation: $38.00 to $44.00 hourly
Robert Half Marketing & Creative has a client in need of a Senior Art Director with pharmaceutical agency experience! This is a long term consulting assignment that has potential to go full time. This will be up to 40 hours per week and can be done remotely (EST). You will efficiently and effectively translate client needs to conceptualize, create, and produce a broad range of advertising and marketing collateral within integrated campaigns that meets or exceeds agency and client expectations.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide day-to-day support to our service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company
• Develop visual solutions for a broad range of materials, both print and digital, aimed at a variety of professional and consumer audiences
• Create fresh, intelligent, and intriguing solutions that meet or exceed client and agency expectations, standards, and guidelines
• Partner with the copy team to create unified ideas that work in parallel with visuals, design, and content
• Responsible for knowledge/creation of a book of business and maintaining the consistency of brands across all marketing materials
• Research and gain an understanding of the client's business/products to assist in strategic recommendations, tactical planning, and executions that further the client's goals and objectives
• Use effective presentation skills internally and externally to showcase great work
• Self-starter who is comfortable with gathering all the information needed to take on assignments
• Oversee, design, and produce a variety of digital and print projects from initial
concept to layout to preparing final files for release to vendors and/or clients
• Work with vendors as necessary, and oversee all third-party collaboration for creative direction and quality control
• Ensure layouts meet all regulatory and other compliance requirements
• Inform and track estimates, budgets, and timelines as required
• Recommend improvements to software, tools, and processes that will aid in creative quality and eliminate inefficiencies
• May oversee the work of junior and freelance staff
• Keep up to date on skills, client, and industry trends
• Other duties, as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field; Fine Arts, Digital Media, or Communications Design
- 5+ years of experience in an advertising/digital agency; pharma/healthcare required
- Established success as an Art Director as evidenced by an exceptional portfolio that includes outstanding conceptual thinking, visual problem solving, and strong digital experience
- Creative visualization and exceptional art and design skills that transcend different media
- Understanding and proper execution of the printing and production processes
- Solid understanding of integrated marketing and advertising communications and how to optimize within an overall creative and content strategy
- Experience with current ad tech; skilled in integrating overall design and message with digital platforms and websites
- Proficient in Mac operating system and industry standard software; including PC as required
- Flexible and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Working understanding of integrated marketing and advertising communications and how to optimize within an overall creative and content strategy
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; experience interfacing directly with clients
- Proactive, self-motivated, well organized; a team player
- Good judgment, and good decision-making and problem-solving skills
