Job Details
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the plant employees and plant operations in producing quality products in an efficient manner. The ideal candidate will be continuously involved in production improvement and LEAN initiatives.
- Plans, organizes, and manages a team to meet production output schedules on-time.
- Maintains safe working conditions, implements safe work practices with good housekeeping in area of responsibility.
- Proven leadership and management skills with experience on leading production teams to improve productivity to reduce production costs and improve quality output.
- Ensuring the practice of company culture, management practices, and creating a safe work environment to encourage a safe but top performing diverse workforce.
- Understanding of company safety regulations, relevant occupational health & safety legislation, machine processes, production administration and all company policies with the ability to communicate compliance procedures to all employees within the area of responsibility with a hands-on leadership approach.
- Implementing and sustaining 5S and LEAN initiatives to maintain efficiency in production.
- Continually and critically monitoring machine center operational effectiveness to reduce waste utilizing lean manufacturing practices, principles, and tools.
